MS Industries (MSI) is your source for whole grain microproppant.  Mined from the Hartselle Sandstone and Pride Mountain Shale formations, our Super 150 Silica is high purity quartz sand (>99% silica) with the ability to reach deep into the secondary, tertiary, and quaternary fracture networks where conventional proppants cannot reach.  Alongside the size advantage, MSI’s Super 150 has superior physical and chemical properties that further bolster its use as a high quality frac sand.  Follow the science and experience how MSI’s Super 150 Silica microproppant can increase the productivity and longevity of your wells.

PRODUCTION CAPACITY – While MSI’s processing plant can produce a variety of sand size combinations through its screening tower, it can specifically produce up to one million tons of Super 150 each year with the ability to ramp to two millions tons as demand increases.  10,000 tons of dry silo storage and a steady stockpile enable efficient production and timely order fulfillment.

SHIPPING – Shipping is easily managed by rail, truck, or barge.  MSI has a Norfolk Southern railroad spur on site with loadout scales designed to accommodate railcars or trucks.  Our proximity to the Tennessee River enable us to utilize barge shipment worldwide.

PROPERTIES – Almost 50% of our Super 150 Silica is 140 mesh and smaller with 11.8% of the grains at 325 mesh. A crush resistance of 9K and sphericity of .7 help give it a better permeability (7x) over crushed manufactured microproppants.

Its better settling velocity rate (SVR) over larger proppants give it the distinct ability to increase the stimulated reservoir volume thus increasing well production. Furthermore these properties can help decrease the negative effects of Pressure Dependent Leakoff (PDL) making the characteristics of Super 150 Silica a truly unique microproppant.
